Feisty

Feisty joined the family as a six-week-old puppy in the Fall of 1994 when Lori was still a little girl.  They basically grew up together and developed a deep bond.  Feisty earned his name by being just that ... feisty.  Lori made a special place for Feisty on the end of her bed where he'd sleep and be content to just spend time with her.  At one point Lori taught Feisty how to "smile."  When asked to smile, he would lift his upper lip to show his teeth.  In his later years, he also bonded with Deb and would curl up on the couch with her.

After Lori began spending her summers working in North Carolina, Feisty started to show his age and his health deteriorated.  He could no longer join Deb on the couch or bed but was always at her feet.  If Deb moved off for more than a minute or two, Feisty would get up and follow her.  Even toward the end, he'd bounce up and down in greeting Deb when she came home.  He was a loyal and loving dog ... to the max.
