"Digger Dawg"

Having been "dogless" for many months since the passing of Stinky, Deb and I decided it was time to remedy the situation.  We went by the PetSmart store to purchase bowls, treats and toys for the dog we were going to get the following week.  As fate would have it, Albuquerque Animal Welfare was conducting a Pet Adoption event at the store when we arrived.  Deb fell in love with one dog who'd been at the shelter for six weeks so we decided to take him instead of waiting until later.  Buster joined our family on July 13, 2013.  He was very shut down having been there for so long and his prospects for adoption were not good even though he was only 11 months old.  Buster is friendly, loving and a real character.  He has fit in very nicely and we're thrilled to have such a wonderful addition to the family.

Even though Animal Welfare took him in as a stray, he was obviously someone's pet as he's housebroken and claimed his spot on the couch right away.  Buster is also a digging machine and we have several holes in the yard to prove it.  He has truly found his forever home with us.
